Howard tells of ‘harrowing’ family tragedy at Auschwitz

Auschwitz is now a specific world political matter, thanks to British Tory Leader, Michael Howard‘s comment in the Independent, 3 July 2004, where he claims his paternal grandparents died in Auschwitz, and his aunt survived the gas chamber:

“While at Auschwitz she had been in a gas chamber three times and for various reasons — once they actually ran out of gas — had got out to tell the tale.”
